My Story

The purpose of this blog is to keep my dancing friends up to date on some of the latest happening in the dance world.  Also to share some of my thought and ideas with you and maybe even brag a little about my wonderful students and my performing group.

This is My Story and I'm Sticking To It...

Hi... My name is Lois Roberts and I am a Line Dance Instructor in Georgia.  I have been instructing for almost 10 years.  I have been line dancing for 12 years.  I love line dancing and want to help instill the love of dancing in others.  I love teaching and watching my students learn the art of line dancing and have a great time while learning.

I got into line dancing at a time in my life when I needed something new and exciting to jump start me back into life.  I had just gone through a battle with breast cancer.  I had been in chemotherapy and radiation  treatments for a year and had gotten a clean bill of health.  A neighbor called and ask me to go to a meeting about starting a line dance class in our neighborhood.  I had watched it on television and always wanted to learn so I was all for it.  I started in that class and just loved it.  Two years later I took over the class and the performing group that we had formed.  I've been teaching ever since and our group is still performing.  I have taken classes and gotten my accreditation since then and I'm still going strong.  I teach classes 4 days a week.  I also teach in dance workshops locally and in other states and teach dancing for private and public parties and events.

Along with being a Line Dance Instructor, I own a business that caters to line dancers ( and anyone else who likes a lot of bling).  I sell line dance accessories such as Rhinestone Shirts, Jewelry, Rhinestone Belts, Dance Shoes and Boots, and numerous other items.  I have an online store Yee Ha Line Dance Duds and I also go to dance events all around and sell my items.

I am also married to a wonderful man that does not dance at all but fully supports me in everything I do.  "How lucky can you get?"  I have 2 sons and 5 grandchildren.  What a wonderful and blessed life I have!!!!   Yee Ha
